The North Carolina A&T graduate spent years dealing with eczema, acne and dry skin before she began creating her own skincare blends. While in college, her roommates kept borrowing what she made and encouraged her to start selling — and that early hustle eventually grew into Butter’d Bodycare.
Today, the brand is behind Helly Jelly, a plant-based, non-petroleum jelly made with naturally derived ingredients like castor oil and vitamin E. @butterdbodycare describes Helly Jelly as the #1 Black-owned plant-based alternative to petroleum jelly.
What started as Brittany solving a problem for herself became a business creating solutions for thousands of others. We love seeing Black women turn their ideas into innovation and ownership. 🖤✨
