Tennis legend Serena Williams gets her second Barbie honor of 2026
Mattel has honored Serena Williams with a new Barbie doll inspired by her historic 2005 Australian Open victory, celebrating her legacy and inspiring future generations.

🎾💕 A championship moment from 2005 just became a Barbie.
Mattel has released a new Barbie Signature doll honoring tennis legend Serena Williams — and the details take us straight back to the 2005 Australian Open. The doll recreates the lime-green and white look Serena wore during the tournament where she defeated Lindsay Davenport to capture the seventh Grand Slam singles title of her career.
And for Serena, this one is bigger than the outfit. She shared that growing up, she didn’t see many girls who looked like her being told there was no limit to who they could become. Now she wants girls playing with her Barbie to see that same “possibility” in themselves. Barbie’s Dream Gap Project is also making a donation to Mrs. Rina’s House of Blessings in Florida as part of the launch.
Twenty-one years after that championship run, Serena’s moment is still being turned into something a whole new generation can literally hold in its hands. That’s legacy. 🖤 And it comes just months after Barbie also honored her with a one-of-a-kind Dream Team doll celebrating her impact as a tennis legend and entrepreneur.
